17 Year Old Teen Driver, Suspected Gunman Killed in Crash

In South Los Angeles, at about 9 pm a police pursuit ended when a teen driver collided head on onto an unsuspecting vehicle. The chase began because police identified the vehicle the suspect and his passenger where driving a stolen vehicle. Police had responded to a shooting call and spotted the subjects in the vehicle involved and so the chase began on Colden Avenue. The accident took place on the intersection of EAST 84TH street and Main.

The subjects crashed into a medical respondents vehicle that was there responding to a medical emergency. The driver was instantly killed and the passenger suffered severe life threatening injuries. Two fire fighters also sustained minor injuries as a result of this crash.

The identity of the two suspects has not yet been released and according to the New York Times, the driver was only 17 years old. A witness saw the incident unfold stated that the subjects vehicle was going 100 mph.
