Pedestrian Was Killed in Huntington Beach after accident at Beach and Yorktown

October 27, 2014 a young 17 year old pedestrian was killed as the result of a car vs pedestrian accident in Huntington Beach, CA. The girl was later identified as Monique Zarazua and was struck by a car in the city of Huntington Beach, CA. The incident occurred between 5 and 5:30 in the morning on Beach Blvd and Yorktown Ave. The scene was intense as police arrived to a girl laid out on the road and a black sedan close to her. A good Samaritan accompanied the girl while officials arrived. The girl received medical care at the scene as soon as the ambulance arrived then proceeded to take her to nearby hospital UCI Medical Center and placed in critical care. At about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Zarazua died from her injuries at the hospital.

The girl’s identity has not yet been released; she died Tuesday October 28, 2014 at 3:40 in the afternoon. WILSON KYNCL & KHASHAN gives the family of the young girl their deepest condolences for their loss.

The man who struck the girl was A 54 year old resident of Huntington Beach, charges were not filed against him. The accident has no confirmed fault yet, the black sedan driven by the man was traveling northbound on Beach Boulevard and the girl was traveling east when they collided. The exact cause for that hasn’t been established. The Huntington Beach police department is still piecing together the accident.
